Upping the profile of unique conservation project
A quality newsletter to raise awareness of the work of the Scottish Forest
Alliance (SFA) has been produced by M&M Media, in association with
Greybar Design.
The newsletter, printed on recycled paper and enclosed in an embossed
document wallet, highlights the activities and development of the SFA
- a unique conservation collaboration between BP, Forestry Commission
Scotland, Woodland Trust Scotland and RSPB Scotland, which aims to regenerate
large areas of native woodland at strategic sites across the country.
The long-term project, supported by a £10 million investment by
BP, will have an important impact on increasing the biodiversity of Scotlands
flora and fauna. It is also bringing strong community benefits in terms
of jobs creation, education and leisure opportunities, and tourism development,
as well as setting a precedent for scientific research into the sequestration
of carbon by native woodland trees.
The newsletter will initially be presented to MSPs at the Scottish Parliament
in October, and will be used by the four member organisations to update
staff and the general public about the SFAs activities and successes
to date.
